This travel and interior story at the Montagne Alternative hotel, Switzerland, was photographed by Jérôme Galland. The property gathers century-old alpine barns reinvented as a boutique lodge in the hamlet of Commeire, above Orsières in the Valais canton. The renovation pairs raw timber and traditional stonework with a contemporary, uncluttered interior.
