The Snake is a private apartment that architect François Roche, co-founder of the experimental Paris practice R&Sie(n), completed in 2003 inside a nineteenth-century industrial building in the city's 10th arrondissement. Built for an anonymous art collector, its roughly 350 square metres wrap a single continuous white sculptural form — bed, bath and staircase folded into one sinuous surface — meant to double as a private gallery. Jérôme Galland, an interior photographer, photographed this all-white interior for AD Magazine.

The Snake est un appartement privé achevé en 2003 par l'architecte François Roche, cofondateur de l'agence parisienne expérimentale R&Sie(n), dans un immeuble industriel du XIXe siècle du 10e arrondissement de Paris. Conçu pour un collectionneur d'art resté anonyme, ses quelque 350 m² enveloppent une seule forme sculpturale blanche et continue — lit, salle de bains et escalier fondus en une surface sinueuse unique — pensée pour doubler d'une galerie privée. Jérôme Galland, photographe d'intérieur, a photographié cet intérieur tout blanc pour AD Magazine.
