This travel and interior story at a Six Senses Bhutan hotel was photographed by Jérôme Galland, part of a circuit of lodges spread across the kingdom's valleys — Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey, Bumthang and Paro — each perched on a hilltop and designed with Habita Architects around the country's traditional farmhouse architecture, in local stone and hand-cut timber. Bhutanese building regulations require every structure to reflect this vernacular character. Produced for Elle Décoration, with styling by Christèle Ageorges.
